Leafstar padded along Stormclan territory, thinking back on the time when she was an apprentice. Her mentor had been the leader himself, Blackstar. How Leafstar loved Blackstar. She always looked up to him, loving all his ideas, as she recalled her times in training. Before she new it, Leafstar had stumbled through the Bramble Pile and into the clearing, where the apprentices were trained. Leafstar thought back to when she was trained here. It was this spot where Blackstar had taught her all she needed to know about being a leader........ She even recalled the ceremony of being apointed to deputy....... Right before Blackstar had died, he called upon Starclan to change his deputy from Russetfur, to Leafstar herself. How she recalled how shocked she was..... She had only had one apprentice at that time. And how Blackstar had been wise not to choose Russetfur as the deputy, for Blackstar believed he would've brought stress to Stormclan..... he was right, but her? Why did Blackstar choose her? Leafstar still wondered to this day.................. How so many moments filled the Bramble Pile...........................

Leafstar looked at the Med Cat, and then put her head down. "I was just thinking back on my memories, about the last leader who was before me..." "you mean Blackstar?" Strawberryfur replied questioningly. "yes, right before he died, he called upon Starclan to change his deputy from Russetfur, to me. and Russetfur would have brought some conflict to the clans, but i had only had one apprentice at the time, and was very young too. There were many others who were more qualified then me, so why did he choose me? why? i've always wondered to this day, and never did figure out why......"

Leafstar smiled. "I suppose, i suppose i'm a good leader for Stormclan now, but back then, i was mearly even a warrior at all. WHY would he choose me? What did i do then that was anything like what i am now?" Suddenly a light flashed in the distance. Both Leafstar and Strawberryfur jerked there heads toward it. "What was that?" Strawberryfur shrieked. "I don't know, but we'll find out!" Leafstar said taking off toward it. The light seemedto have taken the two cats to the Moonstone. "What? Why has it taken us here?" Strawberryfur said in confusion. "Well, lets find out." Leafstar said, entering slowly into Highstones and toward the Moonstone, where the stars opened up, revealing Silverpelt. Leafstar sat, her nose to the cold stone, soon falling into a deep sleep. Her eyes shot open as she gazed around. She spotted Strawberryfur, sleeping nearby. "This is Shadowclan territory when i was a young kit. I hardly remember it" Leafstar took off toward the camp, prodding Strawberryfur awake to follow. "Where are we?" "You wouldn't remember, you hadn't been born yet Straw. But this was Stormclan camp when i was a kit. It was still going by the name Shadowclan at the time." Strawberryfur nodded padding onward. "YUCK! Why does this place smell like crow-food?" Leafstar narrowed her eyes, remembering the day Firestar stole her away, taking her to Barley. Where she left and accidently joined Clawclan when she was still a kit. "Because Tigerstar was Shadowclan's leader at the time....." Strawberryfur nodded as the two cats burst through into the camp. Leafstar gazed around for Blackstar and soon spotted him at Tigerstar's paws. Leafstar narrowed her even more and entered the leader's den without hesitation. "Blackstar?" Leafstar called. The cat didn't budge. "He can't hear you Leafstar. This is a flashback, sent to us by Starclan." Leafstar nodded, tears flooding her eyes. Suddenly Blackstar spoke under his breath, just loud enough for the two cats to hear. "Tigerstar's ambition is destroying my clan, by the will and power of Starclan, i pormise to pass down my leadership, to a prophet of Starclan...." Leafstar bounced back in shock. "bu- but i'm NOT a prophet of Starclan! i'm not! my leadership wasn't chosen by Starclan!" Suddenly, the landscape around them changed, Leafstar and Strawberryfur were suddenlt beside Blackstar as he layed there in his den. the two noticed a cat on by side, and another behind him. It was- it was Leafclaw! Blackstar summoned the Medicine Cat to his side and whispered something in his ear loud enough for the two of them to hear as well. "Starclan sent me a prophesy, it was fortold that Leaves shall scatter, as a claw strikes them, for on a full moon a new deputy will be appointed, as your time to shall come. L-Leafclaw, is my new deputy, for Starclan has said it........" Leafstar jumped back, nearly falling over. "I- I- I" Suddenly Blackstar spoke again. "Leafclaw, step forward! By the power of Starclan! i strip the deputy position from Russetfur, and hale it over Leafclaw, as you shall lead Shadowclan far to well for so many moons...... L-Leafclaw, i-i ale you your new n-name as L-L-L-Leafstar............" Blackstar head suddenly fell back, as his eyes layed still along with his body, he was dead..... Leafstar eyes stared at her dead leader, as tears tore down her eyes..... "He's gone........"

strawberryfur shivere seeing her leader cry was the wrosrts thing right onw then another burst of light and strawberryfur looked and saw her mom and dad under tifstars body "mom dad!!"she screams she too crys now knowing that tigerstar killed her mom and dad.sanhother burst of light and sees herself with leafstar laughing strawberryfur smiles thne there was another flash and there was tigerstar and leafstar and strawberryfur then words echoded in her head"tiger will try to rule but strawberry and leaf will end it"she jolts up to se leafstar still asleep she prodds her"leafstar?"she says gently.

Leafstar eyes shot opened, letting out a sheer shriek that pierced the night. "Tigerstar must die!" She shrieked, not knowing she was back inside Highstones. "Oh, Strawberryfur i'm sorry." Leafstar looked down at her paws, recalling what just happened. "Was i really a Starclan chosen cat? That's why Blackstar chose me? Did he know it was me all along?" Leafstar's eyes soon burst into tears as they pelted down her face, hitting her paws as they stung. "How could he die..... Now i know he saw faith in me, when no else knew i would ever be a leader? He knew, he knew Starclan chose me.... From the day i was born, he knew i would someday take his place.... He was, he was, my hero.............. i always wanted to lead a clan after Blackstar...." More and more tears rolled down Leafstar's face, as they hit the discolored earth. "Um, Leafstar, i hate to interrupt, but the prophecy? about Tigerstar? We must be getting on it!" Leafstar pulled away in distress and bolted into the forest. "BLACKSTAR! PLEASE! SPEAK TO ME FROM STARCLAN ABOVE!!!!" Leafstar found a hollow that would mask her scent from Strawberryfur if she tried looking for her and ducked under. "I just want to be alone with my leader......." Leafstar said just before she fell into a deep sleep. Suddenly her eyes shot open and she was in Shadowclan camp, back when she was a kit. She looked around, seeing cats bolting in all directions, she glanced over at the nursery, seeing a cat's head poked inside. The cat emerged, and Leafstar now recognized the cat. It- it was Blackstar! He had a kit in his jaws! Blackstar suddenly took off out of camp, crossing the Thunderpath and ducking into a bramble thicket. Leafstar sooned followed and poked her head through. She saw Blackstar, and - Firestar? Blackstar handed the kit to the Thunderclan leader, and watched as he took off over the moors and into a barn. Was that Leafkit? Herself? H-had Blackstar captured me to give to Firestar at the time? But back then Blackstar was Tigerstar's deputy, had he known even then that Leafstar would one day be a leader? is that possible? Suddenly a light flashed, shaking Leafstar's thoughts. Her surroundings vanished and she was at the Moonstone. "Hello my deputy." Leafstar looked up, tears in her eyes, as she saw Blackstar. She ran up nuzzling him in happiness. "Blackstar! it's you! it's really you!" the leader nodded. "Leafstar, i don't have much time, and much tell you, and tell you quick, i did know from the day i was a deputy that a cat would be replaced the day i died. But i shooved that thought to the back of my mind when i became leader. Starclan sent me a prophesy the night i was appointed deputy saying that leaves will scattered and will be snagged by claws, and will only replace a deputy to a dying leader. I didn't know what it meant, until i was dying. So you now know the truth, and you must also know something else, your father, i was good friends with him, he was killed by Tigerstar, and gave you to me, when he died on the battlefield. I never told you, or anyone else that he had done that, which is why i took you to Barley's Farm, because i knew he'd kill you too..... But- maybe i was wrong that he'd kill you...." Leafstar looked up puzzled, "what do you mean you were wrong?" Suddenly Blackstar's pelt began to change, it was turning into a cat Leafstar had seen before.... TIGERSTAR!!! "He was wrong, Leafstar...... You are MY last decendant, my ambitions run through your viens..... And you are my twin, whether you like it or not......" Leafstar shook her head backing away. "NO! NO! NO!" Leafstar couldn't tell, but knew she must have been shouting in her sleep in terror, for she was feeling it now.............

"leaftsar wake up"she says prodding her leader with her paw then she collpaes and falls into a dream with leafstar.strawberryfur gaps as leafstar told her who she was strawberryfur groweld and tigerstar turned to see her"well isnt it your med cat strawberryfur"he says with a snear "dont you dare tell her what she is her ambtions are good"she says with a growel"but you strawberryfur has his blood in you"he says "whos blood?"she growels "why the all and mighty firestar"he says with a snear strawberryfur stepps back her?i have firestars blood in me?then tigerstar strikes strawberryfur"pay attion thata not all!'hes says "your mom wasnt sandstorm but hers!"he says with a snear"who?"shes aks "spottedleafs yes she was alive and firestar sneaked off and they had kits your brothers and sister were born from her"he says.

Leafstar leaped back. "Liar! how dare you try to tromitise my Med Cat!" LEafstar looked on the ambitious cat, and striked were claws long and sharp at the cats throat. "I see you have discovered your ambitions...." tigerstar quickly dodged the attack, pinning Leafstar to the ground. "But they can't beat me...." Leafstar growled, sending herself whirling around and striking out at the cats flank sending her claws raking down his side. She heard the cat give a wail as he struck back at Leafstar. "You two shall pay! You will soon discover your ambitions and hatred between your two ancestors, and soon grow to hate each other!" And as he finished his statement, he vanished, sending the cats hurtling out of their dreams. Leafstar got up, gazing at her Med Cat in awe. "Can you believe that? Well, we can't fret about it now, there are patrols to be set. Come on Straw, lets get back to camp." Strawberryfur gave a curt nod, and Leafstar could've swarn there was a hint of a growl in her voice as well. Tigerstar couldn't be right, just because if who our ancestors were, that would never separate us from our friendship... would it?

strawberryfur kept in line whith leafstar but wondered how could tigerstar know?i am firestars great grnadaughter but spottedleafs child?blah thats way to wierd but maybe hes right i never knew my mother"uh leafstar i have to tell you something"she says.leafstar nods."well i am firestars great grandauther but spottedleafs?it could be true i never knew my mother but it could be sandstorm too"she says.leafstar nods again.straw wnet back into thinking spottedleafs child?woot that would be cool but i dont like the sound of the way tigerstar was saying itstraw gobbles and collpases.

Leafstar heard a thud behind her and whipped around gasping. "Straw!" she shrieked. She nudged her friend to her feet, grabbing her by the scruff and hawling her down to toward the river. She dipped her mouth in filling it water and then splashed on Straw's face jolting her head up. "Straw, are you alright?" The Medicine Cat nodded in terror. "Leafstar, i can't be Spottedleaf's and Firestar's great great grand daughter, that means you and i are swarn enemies! I DONT WANT TO BE YOUR ENEMY!!!!" Leafstar nodded narrowing her eyes. "just because our ancestors hated each other doesnt mean we have to, Straw, YOUR ancestors will be fine with whatever you choose, as for MY ancestor...... just- don't worry about me....... I can handle my own past, i've handled it before." Leaf turned her head in slight anger to the thought of both her past, and also ever thinking of hating her friend. She scuffed her paw on the dirt shaking some up and padded off, leaving Straw alone in the clearing.

straw looks as leaf disapears. its cant be! she gets up and callopas again in terror.thne the memory she rembered now.she had to tell elafstar imdily but instead shes falls and goes into a dream.

Leafstar continued on in the forest deep in her thoughts. "This just can't be...." She said to herself in disbelief. She padded on soon coming to a stop twitching her ears. "What was that?" She turned her head as she heard pawsteps once more. She raised her nose, drawing in the scents. "What is that smell? It's so familiar, but i just can't put my paw on it....." Suddenly something lunged at Leafstar, pinning her down. "Who are you!?" She shrieked in anger. "You know quite well who i am. think back, Leafstar. Recognize my scent. Just remember, i will always be apart of you, where ever you go, i will never leave you, and will haunt your dreams and your life until the day you die. You will grow to hate your friend, just as i did her ancestors. I will always haunt you....." Suddenly the weight lifted from her back and the scent faded. Leafstar bounced up, her eyes wide with fear. "wh- who was that? I- it was Tigerstar? N- no it couldn't be.... Bu- but....." Leafstar put her head down in sadness. "How could i ever grow to hate Strawberryfur? We have grown so close........" Leafstar could've swarn she heard Tigerstar's breath in her ear, but when she turned. Nothing was there....... Leafstar turned and padded on. She soon came across a heap lying in the clearing, Leafstar bounded over and looked down. "What is it?" Leafstar bent over sniffing it and flipped it over. It was so light, what was it? Leafstar leaned closer. It- it looked like, Hawkfrost! Leafstar bounded back in horror and dove into the forest. "This can't be! i'm being haunted by own past! My own wrongs! My rights! NO!" Suddenly time stood still. Leafstar couldn't move. Suddenly her surroundings changed, she was in- in Clawclan! Suddenly, time came back. Leafstar fell to the ground, and gazed about in horror. "Is this real? Or was it a dream? Leafstar looked up and saw- Deadclaw! Leafstar sat up and gazed at her old leader. "Hello Echowing.... Its been a while. Everyday i thought about you, how my own deputy left her clan when they were in need." Deadclaw raised her paw, inflicting a blow to the side of Leafstar's face knocking her to the ground. "How dare you even think of returning to your clan's soil!" Leafstar hawled herself up, shaking her pelt. "I won't fight you, Deadclaw. I don't even know why i'm here! This is just a dream, i know it is. And it won't be any good to fight." Deadclaw smiled with an evil grimace. "This is no dream, Echowing. You are really here. The great Tigerstar appeared to me in a dream telling us a great warrior was to return in his ancestry. He never mentioned it would be you. Tell me, why didn't you ever mention your ancestors?" Leafstar put her head down. "I didn't know at the time." She raised her head with a glint of anger and hostility in her eyes. "But if you think i would ever join your clan again, you are mistaken!" Leafstar said with a low growl rising in her throat. Deadclaw snickered and lunged, pinning Leafstar down. "You are the one making the mistake. The great Tigerstar also said something you should know......." Leafstar looked up with confusion. "Your friend is in grave danger, for her ancestors can't protect her from yours, because if your ancestor dies, so do you." Leafstar looked up in confusion, "What do you mean?" "Your friend, Tigerstar will kill if you ever leave Clawclan again. And her ancestors won't protect her, because if Tigerstar is ever killed, so are you. You can protect your friend, if you don't leave Clawclan. What will it be, Echowing?" Leafstar looked up with tears in her eyes. "Strawberryfur..... Forgive me......" Leafstar got up shaking her pelt. "I will join you....." Deadclaw smiled. "And if your friend ever comes here, Tigerstar will kill her through you, keep in mind......" Leafstar's eyes turned as red as dawn with tears. She nodded stepping forward toward her new leader. Deadclaw said with a grimace. "Are you ready for your acceptance?" He said calling all his cats around Leafstar with claws extended. Leafstar put her head down. "Forgive me Starclan, forgive me Strawberryfur." She looked up at the cats. "Yes, i am."

strawberryfur runs through the brambles with luna,kisshu,icefang,and the rest of dargon haven with her."luna take up the rear!"she calls.luna get in potion and they stop.strawberryfur looks out and whipsers"now!".she burts out of the bushes and throws deadclaw."dragon haven attack!"she screeches.1,000 dragon burst out and start attacking clawclan."ill deal with you my-"she get thrown by a unknow source.she scream"tigerstar!"she screaches and lunches at him claws extened.tigerstar lunges at her also.strawberryfur screeches in furry."demon wolf power!".she turns into a demon and says "my ambtions are stronger than anyone i can kill anyone tigerstar you amtions are weak leafstar ot tob e eman but your amtions are really weak,deadclaw your puny in your amtions and scourge was also weak so anyone want to changgle me?"she says her vocie cold and as threating as tigerstars.

Tigerstar looked at Strawberryfur and smiled. "Strawberryfur, if you kill me in spirit, that means Leafstar would never be here. She would die.... And even if you separated us and made us non-related anymore, Leafstar would never forgive you for changing her past. She may never have been a leader if you made us non-related. Think Strawberryfur, think..... Iff i die, she goes down with me, no matter what you do....." Leafstar stepped forward with tears in her eyes. "Strawberryfur, go.... I can't risk losing you. Your my best friend, Tigerstar will kill you, and if you try to fight back and kill him, i'll die. Theres is no way to win this battle Strawberryfur. And Tgerstar is also right, if we are no longer non-related, my whole life changes, i may never be Stormclan's leader. I MAY never forgive you, you never know..... Either way, this time, the Warriors have lost..... Go, go back to Stormclan. Continue your life there, i'll be fine. I promise....." Leafstar finished weakly smiling. Strawberryfur looked at Leafstar and thenat Deadclaw and Tigerstar. "You both will pay.... I WILL have my leader back someday........" Leafstar shot a glance at Strawberryfur, trying to fight back tears. "GO! NOW! And that's an order! I want no one to EVER send a patrol out here, i don't want to lose any friends or warriors. I'll be back, i promise. Now just go.........." Leafstar put her head down and watched her friend leave for the last time, looking back once more at her leader. "Goodbye, Leafstar.... I'll miss you forever....." Leafsar eyes watered, and held herself back, as she wanted to give her friend a hug. She bowed her head instead saying, "Goodbye Strawberryfur, i'll remember you always....." Suddenly weight was put on Leafstar's shoulder, as she was drawn into a croud of cats, and her friend was escorted the rest of the way off of Clawclan's territory. "What's happening?" Leafstar said in question. The cats said nothing and continued to croud in closer. Leafstar looked up at Deadclaw as the leader said, "Its time for your acceptance, and your friend isn't coming back." Leafstar put her head down. "No, she isn't, she better not. I don't want her to risk her life, she will die, or i'll die if she does." Deadclaw nodded and signaled his cats in closer. One lunged, ripping the skin off Leafstar's leg, throwing her across the clearing, another bounded at her head, pinning her down and ripping at her ear. Another lunged for her forepaw yanking it out of it's socket. Leafstar let our a fearsome yowl as she stood there taking the blows. "This is for leaving your clan, Echowing!" Leafstar gazed up, "Sharpeye? My old mentor?" The cat briefly nodded, with a small smile of hope across his face, and lunged for Leafstar scratching her face, just above her eye. Leafstar let out another shriek, as another cat lunged for her ripping their claws across her flank. As Leafstar layed there unmoving, Deadclaw signaled his cats to disperse. H padded toward her as the cats left for their dens. "Well, Echowing, you haven't lost your ambitions yet, nor your will to fight. I'm proud you've returned." Leafstar jerked her eyes up and let out a low growl to her new 'leader'. Deadclaw grimaced and then padded away to his den. Leafstar felt she had layed there for hours until she finally got up and padded for Deadclaw's den. "I'm up." She said to him. The leader lifted his head and scooted over. "Come here, rest for tonight. Tomorrow you will go hunting." Leafstar growled and curled into a ball, and soon fell into a deep sleep. "Leafstar, just remember, no matter which clan you are apart, Starclan will always be with you. We are here to tell you something, it is of sad news. Strawberryfur and your clan is following your advice, and is not coming to rescue you. They are following your orders. The bad news is, they grieve greatly of your loss, and Stormtail, your mate, misses you so." Leafstar lifted her head, and noticed a starry pelted cat in front of her, it was Spottedleaf! "Spottedleaf? You are Strawberryfur's ancestor! So my clan isn't coming?" The cat nodded. "Good, i don't want my clan to risk their lives for me. But how are you sure?" Spottedleaf looked at Leafstar, "I sent Strawberryfur a message and an omen telling her not to come, for your path will be as bright as ever no matter where you are. Leafstar, Starclan will appear in dreams as much as possible in this dark place, and Tigerstar did call you here, but Starclan has a mission here for you as well, Tigerstar's words are true, and if her is killed, you will be too, and if both of you are separated, you will not remember Stormclan at all. But you must have NO ONE from any clan come here, for you complete this task alone..." Leafstar looked up at Spottedleaf in confusion. "What task?" Spottedleaf returned her gaze and replied, "It may not seem like it yet, but later, Clawclan will trust you greatly, and you must stay in Clawclan for a while, so you will not be returning to Stormclan just yet, but you will someday. Anyway, Starclan wants you to bring this clan out of darkness, and away from Tigerstar's ambition and to the clans." Leafstar looked on in shock, "What, you want me to bring this clan, back home to the four clans where they join one of them?" Spottedleaf nodded. "Leafstar, this is your calling, you CAN'T turn down on this, and you mus do this ALONE with NO acceptions. You will return to your clans someday, i promise, but for now, you must complete this task, Strawberryfur is recieving this message about you as we speak, and we have ordered her to stay in the Clans. She will listen to me, i am her ancestor, she will......" Leafstar nodded and put her head down. Spottedleaf spoke once more as she began to fade, "Leafstar, you will see your clan again, i promise, but for now, you have a task to fufill here, and Strawberryfur has an even BIGGER task to fufill back home." Leafstar looked in wonder, "What?" Spottedleaf whispered, "She must saveall four clans from destruction alone.... That's why she can't be here with you." Leafstar fell over, her eyes closing, her head suddenly jolted up and she was back in Deadclaw's den. Leafstar whispered to herself, "Looks like me and Straw, both have a big calling ahead us that we have to do alone. Great Starclan, help us both!"
