(Leafstar i hope you dont mind but now that im deputy i want to go on a border patrol with you. And i want there to be something we have to fight, because Amberwind believes he hasnt proved his strength enough yet, [dont worry, in a good way ^^] so i hope this is ok. You can decide what we fight if you want.)
Amberwind padded to Leafstars den. "Its time for the sundown patrol. Would you like to join Leafstar?" He asked calmly.

(Remember, the Clans are still in the forest, not the lake... So a patrol to sundrownplace would be VERY long... Shall we make it Carrionplace instead?)
Leafstar sat up from her mid afternoon nap, giving a big yawn.
"Certainly, Amberwind." She said, standing up, hearing her joints crack. She let out a long sigh, remembering that she had 7 lives left. She lunged out of her den and into the territory, Amberwind close behind.
"Let's patrol by Carrionplace. I've been hearing rumors from Loners that their is a pack of rats their." Leafstar, picking up her pace.
She slowed to a trot as they neared the gates that bordered the fowl Twoleg rubbish.
"Stay low." She said, picking up the faint scent of a fox. She ducked behind an old pile of rotten Twoleg junk, spotting a hole in the center of it. She crept toward it, sniffing it questioningly.
Suddenly, a fox lunged from its depths, plowing into Leafstar and sinking it's teeth into her shoulder. Leafstar let out a yowl in pain, slashing her claws across the fox's face. The fox released her, throwing against the Twoleg gate, her paw getting wedge between the bars. She tried to jerk it free, but it was no use. She peered back to the fox's burrow within the rubbish, as another emerged, snarling viciously. It eyed Leafstar, while the first closed in on Amberwind. Leafsar turgged at her paw trying to break it lose, but it still wouldn't budge. She peered around at the other piles of Twoleg rubbish, spotting a second hole, watching as a scruffy fox emerged, hobbling, and it's teeth white with foam.
"Rabid! That fox is rabid! Amberwind get out of here!" Leafstar yelled, tugging more violently. "It's stuck! My paw won't budge." She said, beginning to bite at the barbed wire it was caught around. Leafstar flinched at the pain as she turned away from her deputy and tried to free herself, so she could help.

"Im not a kit! They wont leave my site. Ill handle this!" Amberwind knocked the fox away from Leafstar. Anger glowing in his eyes. The heat seemed to intense as Amberwinds power was unleashed (JUST A PHRASE!!! NOT LIKE ENERGY POWER. Well maybe a little but well you know what i mean, right?) He clawed the fox along its flank before it could get back up. It lunged again, but Amberwind was too fast for it. He appeared behind it and clawed again, rather then biting because it was rabid. The fox tried to stumble away. Amberwind wanted to let it go, but a strange sense of power got the best of him and he finished it with a long, deep scratch through its chest. He panted hard, as he vaguely realized just what he had done. He remembered Leafstar and rushed to her. He found a small gap and used his paw to push it farther out. Allowing Leafstar to squirm her paw off it. "Leafstar, are you all right?" The deputy questioned.
Suddenly another fo attacked. But this one was slightly smaller. So Amberwind didnt have to use too much effort to knock it off him. This time, it was practically full fury. the fox confidently stepped up and lunged again. This time for Leafstar. Then the other one used its weight to knock Amberwind down. "No..... Not now..... No one dies today!" He screamed, as he was so enraged he easily sent the fox flying from his back and just before the other fox could bite Leafstar, he appeared in front of it. "Surprise." This one wasnt rapid, so he bit its throat so deep that it went limp almost instantly. Shocked at what he had just done, he fell down in a heap. But not unconcious yet. He reflected on the two kills he had made. 'What is this. This power? Am i a savage rather then a Shadowclan cat? Whats wrong with me??' Amberwind thoguht. Leafstar approached him..

Leafstar licked her injured paw a few times, letting her deputy catch his breath before she approached him.
"That was very noble, Amberwind..." She began, sitting beside him. "I had the same rage of power as you when I was a warrior, and even in my early days as a leader..." She said, beginning to lick a severely bleeding wound on her shoulder.
"Did I ever tell you of ClawClan? The Clan I was in before I rejoined ShadowClan?" She said, turning back to Amberwind. "It was a fierce Clan that had no ancestors, and only raged for blood-thirsty power and strength. I had arrived their as a kit and grew to becoming their leader. My ancestor, Tigerstar gave me the rage that was inside of me giving me the urge to kill. The thing that is the hardest, is learning to control it such as I managed to..." She said, standing up and peering down at her new deputy.

"I-I understand. I feel better now. Do we need to take you back to Strawberryfur, Leafstar? Because if not we can border the last part of our borders." Amberwind replied, feeling better now after knowing he wasnt the only one.

Leafstar smiled sympathetically at her deputy and licked her shoulder once again.
"I do need to go back to Strawberryfur. I can't have it being infected. But I want you to continue bordering. I will meet you out in the marshes. Why don't you border around Twisted Claw Cave?" She said, placing her tail on his shoulder and then walking past him and back toward camp. She caught a faint voice in the back of her mind... She knew it was Blackstar, the former ShadowClan leader, or her 'father', more like teacher.
"What is it you see in that deputy of your, Leafkit?" He whispered, treating his 'daughter' as a child.
"I see more in him than he sees in himself. I know there is something about his past that he doesn't know. Something dark about it, just as mine was. And I will help him conquer him. He won't conquer it alone like I had to..." She whispered to Blackstar.
"I believe in you, Leafkit. Good luck." He whispered, his voice fading.
"Thank you..." She said, letting out a long sigh. She padded into camp and toward Strawberryfur's den, sitting down on a pile of leaves.

Amberwind did what he was told. He continued to border the territory. After finishing when the sun was fully rosen, he padded back to camp with two other shadowclan warriors that had been told to come with him by Leafstar. He layed down by a nearby tree and rested for a while.

Leafstar padded out of Strawberryfur's den, her paw and shoulder all fixed up. She spotted her deputy sitting by a tree, resting his head for a few moments. She trotted over beside him, sitting down and licking her paw, as it itched slightly.
"Greetings, Amberwind... How are you?" She asked, looking at him, seeing that there was something underline in head that was wrong. Even if he didn't know that something was wrong, she knew there was something in his eyes that was wrong.

(hee hee yes there is something different about Amberwind. He doesnt know it, but a part of his soul that was under lock and key, is starting to unlock and bring about new powers and other things about Amberwind. Hes not frightened or anything though. Hes not scared of many things. Maybe his only fear is himself. Because sometimes he has nightmares about his bad side coming out and killing many cats. Hopefully that never happens in reality)
"Im fine Leafstar. But you dont seem so hot either. Its probably your injury though. Barb wire is known to tear easily. Especially the muscles and ligaments of a Cat. I remember a day when i was an apprentice, one of my friends got their paw stuck in one and it was almost torn in half. A very ugly site. And he still cant fight as well. Thats probably how he built his life around that and created a reverse style that suits him just fine. Yes, Oakstream is an interesting warrior. Ok sorry for acting like some superior i need to know better." Amberwind told Leafstar.

Strawberryfur padde dout of her den. SH elooked behind her " And angelmoon, make sure that the catmint is good to" she mewoed. then she padded over to amberwind and leafstar, getting many greetings from her clan mates.strawberryfur nodded back to the clan " leafstar how is ur wounds?" she asked.

Leafstar's head whipped up, to meet her dear friend.
"It fine, thank you very much, Strawberryfur." She said, nuzzling her friend and then turning back to Amberwind.
"It's quite alright, Amberwind. You are right about the muscles of a cat tearing very easily. You are a very knowledgeable deputy." She said, eying her deputy, thinking about what could possibly be underline about him.
"Amberwind, may I invite you to come to Twisted Claw Cave with me, tonight? I need a warrior to come stand guard while I speak with StarClan." She said, meeting his gaze as he got to his feet.

"Yes. That is the least i can do in my services as Deputy of Shadowclan." Amberwind answered politely. He then started talking to Strawberryfur. "Its a nice day isnt it? Although it is Sunhigh, it really isnt too hot out at all. Its pretty surprising for Green-Leaf season."
He turned back to Leafstar. Waiting for a sort of response.

Leafstar nodded to her deputy as the leader off Riverstar yowled for the gathering to start. Leafstar raised her head high, glancing over all the cats, spotting one cat in particular. Wolfsea. She narrowed her eyes questioningly and waited for Riverstar to finish her report about the fish running plentiful and two new apprentices being claimed as warriors. Leafstar took a step forward to begin her announcements.
"ShadowClan is doing quite well in the season of Green-Leaf. The prey is running plentiful and we recently have had two apprentices be named as warriors, Dawntail and Blackpelt. She said, dipping her head toward the warrior who were here. We also have spotted three fox in Carrionplace, my deputy and I, Amberwind, nearly escaped with our lives after being attacked." She said, dipping her head in gratitude toward her deputy.
"However, one fox is rabid. I warn all the Clans that if they smell the scent of fox in their territory to beware and stay away, because all three of these foxes may be infected as well." She said, bowing her head and stepping back with the other leaders as Cloverstar stepped forward with the ThunderClan announcements.

(ummmmmm Leafstar? You might wanna modify that because i KILLED those foxes. Just saying. Thats why it was a special burst of power.)
Amberwind saw the gazes from a few cats pointed at him with awe and surprise to hear this feat. They took note of the otherstuff to, but just barely. He nodded to them and they turned their gazes away.
