There are three sides, good, neutral, and evil. Leading the good side is the great wizard, Merlin; The head of the neutral, the mysterious Tyan; and Lord of the side of darkness, the Wizard of Time, who is currently imprisoned on the Planet of Darkness, where his powers are limited and his evil grasp cut off.
Merlin and his two students, Mariah and Brandon, are beginning to build an army, in case the Wizard of Time ever manages to break free of his prison, while Tyan begins amassing soldiers for his own plans, though his allegiance is still undecided. Until the time comes when battle is imminent, it is up to Merlin, Mariah, and Brandon to keep the peace among the magical creatures and the humans, while an ally of Tyan hatches his own plans.
Once the Wizard of Time is finally freed, strange attacks begin plaguing humans and the magical creatures alike, finally leading to an all-out battle between the good, evil, and neutral. However, a new enemy appears, leading the humans against the world of magic, and in the conflict that arises, secrets will be revealed about the history of Merlin and the Wizard of Time.
