lilly nodded"and Payliri was my mentor when she was still as a lioness"she said.strawberryfur nodded"great"she growled.she glowed and turned into a wolfness(girl wolf i mad eit up myself^^) she noded at lilly who gasped.and turned to elaf"do you rember me?"she asked.lilly nodded"i do when i became a true lioness you came running into camp followed by your own pack and asked for help"she said."Payliri was there too she helped you,oh Lorreena!"she cryed falling down and pushing her ehad into strawberryfurs legstrawberryfur shrugged"lilyl get up you great lump!"she teaed.lilly got up and followed strawberryfur intot he den.

Payliri's face brightened. "Lorreena! I don't believe it!" Leafstar lunged to her friend's side. "We've known each other this long! It is StarClan's fate!" She said licking her friend's shoulder. HEr face was still bright with happiness. "I'm so thrilled about all of this! Perhaps we can all go on a hunt sometime? For a bear or a bobcat or something?" Leafstar said, in a playful gesture and a joking tone.

Strawberryfur laughed"sure^^" she purred."now lilyl how did you get here?".lilly said" i followed a trail sniffing your sent i know naylia was here i know her sent" she reyplied. lilyl sighed" i dont like be the enemyy" she said sadly" so iw ant to xatar about joining his clan" she said brightly.starwberryfur nodded "oaky,leafstar if you can xatar itll be great, and i ahvnt talked to my mate forever"

[Leafstar]

Leafstar nodded her head in agreement. "Come along. We can leave right now if you wish." A ring of nodds went around and Leafstar turned, and started padding on for a long time. It seemed like an eternity of walking in a field when she finally stopped in an open patch where the grass had died. "Where is the Clan Leafstar?" Lilly said, annoyed. Leafstar chuckled. "Patience." Leafstar turned around and swayed her tail across, creating a warp in the air. "Jump through." LEafstar said, Strawberryfur jumped through, followed by Nailyila. Leafstar looked at Lilly who looked scared. "Come on, Lilly." Leafstar said, grasping her by the scruff and jumping through the warp, letting it disappear behind her. Leafstar dropped Lilly to the floor. "Stay close everyone. The war is still raging. Enemies could be anywhere." Leafstar padded through some bushes and gasped. Before her, overlooking her entire home, was a barren scorched wasteland. No one could have survived on this turf. "Oh no! BarrenClan! Ina! Kova! Sukari! Mwezi! Xatar! No! Oh no!" Leafstar bolted down the hill, kicking up scroched dirt as she ran. "We have to find survivors! Quickly! Strawberryfur, you take Lilly and scan the Western side! Nailyila, you come with me and we'll scan the Eastern side! Quickly!" Leafstar said, disappearing into the scorched barrens with Nailyila at her side.

Lilly saw the first survoir"ITS XATAR STARWBERRYFUR!"she said.starwberry purred and ran down to emet xatar" OH XATAR!" she mewoed covring his fac ein lciks.

"Strawberryfur! What are you doing here? How-" Xatar pricked his ears. "Quickly, we must get going, they're getting closer." Xatar wrapped his tail around Lilly and coaxed Strawberryfur forward, stalking behind the shelter of a bush. "This way." He said, padding forward under a heap of rocks. "Into the entrance, it's behind those rocks." Xatar said, handing Lilly to Stawberryfur. "You all will be safe in our temporary camp. I have to go finish our patrol." "Wait! Xatar! LEafstar is here with Nailyila!" Xatar whipped around. "As Payliri?" Lilly and Strawberryfur nodded. Xatar nodded back. "I'll find them." He said, lunging into the bushes.

"Keep up Nailyila! They're getting closer!" Leafstar yowled. "Coming Payliri!" Nailyila called out, stumbling away from examining the dried up watering hole. "Hurry! They are getting closer! We have to try and locate some survivors!" Leafstar said, lunging into a bush with Nailyila behind her. "OOF!" Leafstar said, bumping into someone face first. Payliri shook her head. "Sukari? Is that you?" The beautiful eyes of the she-lion looked at Leafstar. "Leafstar? But- you aren't Leafstar..." Leafstar laughed. "I'm Payliri! Remember? From moons and moons ago?" Sukari's face brightened. "Payliri! Oh! I had no idea you were Leafstar!" She said, coveing her face with licks. "okay, okay..." Payliri said, pushing Sukari away. "Where is Kova? Or Ina? Or Mwezi? Or Miala?" She said thingying her head. Sukari sighed. "I don't know. We're all spread out across the Pridelands in order to patrol and attempt to protect it. I haven't seen Kova or anyone in moons ever since Xatar decided on this. I don't know where anyone lives or stays or even is for that matter. We are all spread out in single groups in order to try and defend and 'patrol' the borders of the Pridelands..." Sukari said, folding her ears back. A low growl rose from Payliri's throat.

Bloodclaw apeered beside leafstar"hello leafstar sorry im late,seesh Hawkclaw can talk!" he mewed"were milia?" he askes his eyes narrowing

[Leafstar]

Payliri laughed. "I'm surprised you can recognize me. But that's beside the point. Bloodclaw, Hawkclaw, meet Sukari and Nailyila." The two nodded in meeting and Bloodclaw repeated. "Where is Miala?" Leafstar sighed and Sukari answered. "I don't know, she could be anywhere in this barren wastland. Each of the BarrenClan members were spread out across the Pridelands to at least two miles apart. Some of us are in two's but most of us are in single's. I haven't seen Kova in months, he could be miles away for all i know. I haven't seen anyone in months. I'm only here, as Xatar says to 'protect' our borders. But the real reason Xatar broke up BarrenClan, is so that we wouldn't be in danger and our enemies couldn't find us as quick. Quickly, come into my den. There is hardly ever any coverage out here, and our enemies could easily spot us." Sukari led the four across the cracked, dry ground and ahead of them was a grouping of bushed. Sukari led the four through a gap in the bushes and the inside was practically hollowed out and shaded almost entirely with gaps of light seeping through and nests scattered across the bush. "You all can sleep in the nests. Bloodclaw, Hawkclaw, you all can hed out whenever you need to in search of Miala." the two cats nodded and left the bushes, leaving Payliri, Nailyila and Strawberryfur alone with Sukari. "So, where do you hunt?" Nailyila said, her stomach growling being heard by everyone.

Sukari nodded as they curled up to sleep and turned back to Leafstar and Nailyila. "Would you all like to hunt with whatever we can find?" The two cats nodded and Sukari walked out, leading the patrol, stalking across the barren deserted lands. "This way." She signaled with her tail. The two followed along. "So, Sukari. How come Xatar doesn't just use his powers and save the Pridelands?" Sukari sighed. "Xatar has a trendomous amount of power, but he only uses a small amount of it, he doesn't want to use it all at once because if he does, yes, it will destroy our enemies, but it will also destroy the pridelands." She said, sighing and flattening her ears. "Wait, is that why Xatar never unleashed his power ever since I left? Just because my power was renewing the earth?" Sukari nodded. "Yes, Xatar couldn't release his power when there was no one to save it. Even while you were here he never unleashed it." Leafstar narrowed her eyes. "Wait, so he hasn't released his power in 300 years?" She said narrowly. Sukari nodded again. Leafstar looked to Nailyila and raised her eyebrows. "Why don't we just locate everyone and come together again as a Clan and attack the enemy!" Nailyila shrieked. Sukari sighed. "Xatar is supposedly working on a plan." Nailyila narrowed her eyes. "Where is he then?" Sukari sighed again. "No one knows." Nailyila growled. "Well i'm finding him! and setting him straight! He needs to use his powers!" She said, lunging into the barren lands speeding out of sight. "Nailyila!" Sukari shrieked. "Leafstar! It's too dangerous for her out here! We have to find her!" Sukari lunged but Leafstar grabbed her tail stopping her. "No, you have to trust her! She can do this! She is almost at the age of a warrior in my time!" Leafstar shrieked. Sukari shrugged. "Alright... You are right, i must remain calm. Nailyila is a young warrior. She hardly even calls me mother anymore. You have raised her well the rest of the way. Thank you, my dear friend." She said, nuzzling Leafstar. Leafstar smiled. "Why don't we go looking for Kova. Strawberryfur and Lilly are out looking for, well, anyone... i think, Bloodclaw and Hawkclaw are looking for Miala, let's go look for look Kova, while Nailyila looks for Xatar." She said, bounding across the barrens.

Strawberryfur was padding along the river follwoed by lilly.she sniffed OH NO ENEMY!. before she knew it they were being carried away, by barrenclans enemy.

Nailyila padded along slowly. Pouting about Xatar under her breath. Suddenly, she pricked her ears at an unfamiliar sound. It sounded like a screaming. She bolted for cover under a small shrub just as two lions ran past her with two other lions in their jaws. "Strawberryfur! Lilly!" Nailyila shrieked, bolting out of the shrub and confronting the enemies. "Leave them alone!" She shrieked. She saw the lions raise their eyebrows at her. The snickered and lunged for her. Nailyila yelped, bolting the side dodging them. Another lundged and she dodged again. Nailyila had never fought before! She extended her claws and whipped around growling. "I am sure going to try and fight!" She yelped, her fur prickling with anger. The other lions exdended their claws. Nailyila growled but the other two hovered over her. By now they had released Strawberryfur and Lilly who had run off, injuries covered them. Nailyila shrunk back, no where to run as they closed in on her. She gave roar. "REOWR!" She yelped. The two lions snickered. She growled. Another roar rang out, but it wasn't hers. She looked around. Suddenly, a lion lunged from the cliffs above her and towered between her and the other two lions. "Leave... Now..." He said, growling. The lions stood there ground. The lion that was in front of Nailyila, she watched as he sheathed his claws. His claws, she noticed were turning a fire red, as if they were hot coals. The lion slashed the faces of the other two, sending shrieks into the sky and forcing them to take off running. The lion retracted his claws and turned around to face Nailyila. Nailyila gave a gasp. It was Kova! "Dad!" She shrieked, nuzzling him, her height only reaching his flank. "Nailyila, what are you doing out here? Where is Leafstar? Aren't you supposed to be with her?" He yelled in anger. Nailyila folded her ears back. "Uh, well. I sorta ran away, Leafstar brought me here, it's a long story, and anyway, we were talking with Mom, about how Xatar should use his power to his full potential, and they disagreed with me about that so now i'm sorta looking for Xatar." SHe siad, giving a weak smile. Kova narrowed his eyes. "How could you do this! Now the enemies know that I am still alive! If it hadn't been you i had to save... I..." Kova stopped short. Nailyila spoke up, "Wait, what do you mean, alive?" She asked curious. Kova sighed. "That's not important. Xatar and I are in hiding, because if the enemy knew that either the leader or the deputy was alive, then we would be in trouble, we would be hunted as well as the rest of BarrenClan." He said, wrapping his tail around his daughter. Nailyila buried her face in her dad's chest fur. "I've missed you daddy. I missed how every night you would take me star gazing and show me our ancestors." She said, sobbing. Kova sihged. "Me too. But you are right. We should speak with Xatar. If only i knew where to find him." He said, sighing and turning his head away. He licked his daughter's forehead and broke away grasping her by the scruff. "Come on let's get you to my den where it's safe." He mouthed through her fur. Nailyila watched as her father's claws began glowing again like hot coals. He placed them against the cliff face and they sank right into the rock. Kova thrusted himself up the rock face and sank his back claws in as well, running up the cliff and up to the top. He dropped his daughter and signaled her forward. The top of the pridelands was much different than bottom where most enemies inhabited it. It had very little greenery, but a little, there was a shrub here and there. "This way." He said, pointing his tail to a dead wide savannah tree. It had casting branches with a big gap in the center. "Come on, hurry. It is safest here at the top, but they send a patrol up here frequently." Kova said, grabbing his daughter again and bounding into the tree where the gap was. It was quite large with a leaves covering it entirely. "No on can see us from up here. It's very safe, and the smell of sap is so strong it masks my scent." He said, laying down in the soft leaves. Nailyila layed down across from him when suddenly a faded battle cry echoed into the tree, lifting both Kova and Nailyila's head. "Oh no." Kova said bounding to the edge of the tree. "Stay here, Nailyila. And don't leave under any circumstances!" He ordered bounding out of the tree and over to the cliff edge. She saw his claws glow and Kova bounded out of sight down below. More battle cries echoed out and Nailyila huddled into the center of the tree folding her ears against her head. She bounded out of the tree and over to the edge. She gasped. Everywhere, she watched as lions exited fro bushes she never would have thought were inhabited. enemies from ewverywhere were tearing through every bush, as if they were searching for something. And they were searching for something... her father. "Daddy!" She shrieked, as she spotted her father fighting off three lions. His claws glowed a bright orange, flaming like coals as they slashed each lion once by one. She watched him retreat back toward the cliff. Nailyila gasped as all the enemies followed. She bolted for the safety of the tree bounding up into hiding. She peeked over the edge, watching her father dart by the tree and deeper into the barrens, with the shrieks of the enemy close behind him. "Daddy!" She yelped again in fear.

Strawberryfur was lank,watching abttle" ARHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"she yowled. She ran down and picked up the sents of blood and follwoed till she saw mila"CRap WERE LARKA WHEN YOU NEE DHER!" she yowled. she glowed,now starwberryfur was loreena,Medicine wolf of barrenclan............

(Nailyila)

Nailyila shut her eyes as she heard the pounding of paws run past the tree as they chased after father. The running stopped and she opened her eyes and peered out of the tree. No one was around... She pounced out of the tree and crouched as low to the ground as she could. She took off to the edge of the cliff and gazed down. There was no sign of anyone. She plunged down, her paws flailing in the air. She landed on a dead bush, pricks going into her fur. she let out a yelp in pain. She got up and took off again. Suddenly someone barreled into her, but picked her up by scruff instead and taking of running faster, but more like limping than running.

(Leafstar)
Leafstar ran with Nailyila dangling from her jaws. "Nailyila! Where have you been! Do you realize that the enemies have discovered your father?" She shrieked between clumps of fur. Suddenly there were three enemy lions behind them, slashing at Leafstar's feet. "Hand over the kit!" She heard them shriek over and over. "Leafstar! Leafstar! Don't let them get me!" Nailyila shrieked, curling against Leafstar's flank. "I'm not leaving you!" She stated between her fur again. Leafstar tripped, as one of the lions caught her foot, sending Nailyila flying. "Nailyila!" Leafstar shrieked. She kicked the lion away as the other two grabbed Nailyila in their jaw. "Leafstar!" "Nailyila!" Leafstar lunged, her claws glowing a bright blue, she slashed them down on the enemy's back that held Nailyila. The cat shrieked, and the wound glowed bright blue, the blue wound spread outside of the cut, like his whole back was freezing over with ice. The lion shrieked and went limp. Leafstar grabbed Nailyila by the scruff and took off running, the other lion fleeing in terror. Leafstar ducked under a bush that was growing up a cliffface. Leafstar clawed her way up the clifface, the bush covering her and Nailyila. There was a ledge off the side and she lunged up, setting Nailyila down. "We'll be safe here. It's completely hidden under this lichen." Nailyila nodded, shaking in terror, huddling closer to Leafstar. "I'm scared. I want my daddy." Leafstar sighed and put her paw around Nailyila. "He'll be fine. I promise."

(Kova)
Kova ran across the barren grasslands, thousands of enemies trailing behind. His plan was to hopefully lure all the enemies as far as he could and hopefully out of the pridelands before they caught him, giving BarrenClan enough time to prepare to attack. He heard lions shouting and roaring behind him and he sped up. There was a tree up ahead, he knew he was on the borders of BarrenClan. The fields came up in dry long tall grass and dried out trees. He knew it was time to finish this off. He lunged into the fields. weaving in different directions. He sheathed his claws, lighting them up into bright coals. His back apw fur raging in flames. The grass set fire and the trees as well. The fields shot up in flames and he heard the shrieks of many dying lions. He lunged for a boulder in the distance, watching as the flames sucked in the grass and trees. He stood there, his eyes narrowed as he watched all the enemy cats flee, but none of them escaped. The flames licked at the boulder where he stood, not even fazing him. He waited patiently for the fire to subside so he could retreat back to his Clan and finally restore his dead Clan...

Lorreena gasped as she was cute,"YOU DARE HURT A MEDICINE WOLF!" she shriked.she lugned and without thinking killed the lion"THERES TOO AMNY!" she shriked to elafstar and nayliya

[Leafstar]

Leafstar lunged for one lion after the other. Sinking her ice glowing claws into one lion after the next. Leafstar had left Nailyila to stay hidden in the lichen where it was safe. "Retreat!" She finally screamed. She pulled Strawberryfur and to the direction where Nailyila was hidden. "Go! NOW! I'll hold them off!" She shrieked as Strawberryfur retreated into the lichen with Leafstar following after. The two cats lunged into the safety of the lichen and Leafstar barreled into Nailyila, protecting her from anyone who would try to break through. "Don't say a word don't move a muscle. They could be anywhere outside of these lichen walls." She whispered to the other two. She saw Strawberryfur sheath her long sharp claws. And Leafstar did the same, sheathing them and starting there glow death glow of the icy color. She saw Nailyila shiver. "Your claws are so cold. Like ice." Leafstar nodded. "I think we are safe for now. I don't pick up there scent. Sit down. I'll tell you all the story behind my powers. It's actually quite facinating." Leafstar said, watching Strawberryfur and Nailyila sit down. "Alright, well, as you know, Nailyila, Kova is the king of fire. His claws, glow a piercing fire red, and when he striked at an opponent, they burn up as if hot coals had struck them. He is unbeatable as long as he has his claws and other power. Now, the back of his feet, where his fur grow along his front and hind feet, also glow into flames and strike anything on fire that they touch. He is fire. And now, i, myself, when my claws are sheathed, they are cold, like ice and are the clear blue color of ice as well. And when i strike an opponent, the wound glows an ice color and the wound spreads outside of it, freezing over the opponents pelt. My power is more effective than your fathers to be honest. Now, my eyes, glow an ice blue, and when that happen, all the stripes along my back sheer into that ice blue as well, and once they are blue, take for cover, i'll warn you now. My stripes, sort of flare off, into ice sickles striking anything in it's path. And my last power, is my paws. When i want to, whateve my paw touches, will freeze over whatever it is connected to. It is a very beautiful sight i must say. If i touched a waterfall, it would freeze over until the water eneded. If i touched you, you would freeze over. But i never use this ability, only in dire need do i. Plus, whatever you are touching would freeze over as well. i could freeze over the earth. which is why this power is so dangerous. Anyway, your father and i are the two protectors of the Pridelands. and before i left, there was no deputy. there were only protectors. but once i left, your father became the first deputy. And your father doesn't even know i'm here in my lion form. Your father and i, to be honest, were destined at birth to be soul mates. But we were nothing more than best friends, loving different people, he loved your mother, and i loved someone else. Okay, well that's the story. Answer any unsolved mysteries?" Leafstar said, finishing up. Nailyila nodded and stood up streching her legs. "Alright, since it's story time, Strawberryfur, would like to tell your life in BarrenClan?" Leafstar said, licking her paw. "It will be 'educational' i suppose for Nailyila." Leafstar said smiling.

"oh its was great,barrenclans nothing like shadowclan,first,barrenclan medicine wolfs can have mates,second we use different herbs,some are the same though" strawberryfur began"when i first came her,mind you,i was in My wolf form,my name was loreena,i looked at the prisdeclans,hmmm,see that rock over there,well that was the rock is tood on to look"pause."i saw xatar and i could see he was hurt,so i rushes over with my herbs,i fixed him up,and well he asked me to be his medicine wolf,now me and xatar were the best of friends,soon He and i became mates,soon i met another tom,Badgerstar,well he had the most broken heart id ever seen,so i went with him,now your father xatar found a new mate,Icreana,soon i came back and saw those two,i must admit i was jealous,but i still did my duty,soon icreana had you, i helped her with you,soon barren clan was under attack,so me and icreana fought,soon she died,xatar realizing this,became my mate again,I'm must glad your alive,wouldn't your mother be proud nayliya"strawberryfur ended her story."hey nailya would you,when you become of age,like to be a medicine lion for Barrenclan?"she asked."i would love mentoring you"

Nailyila twitched her ears. "That's an amazing story! But i'm Kova and Sukari's daughter, Strawberryfur!" She said, smiling playfully. Strawberryfur chuckled. "It's alright, Strawberryfur." She said, smiling. Nailyila sighed. "Uh, Strawberryfur. I don't think i belong in the world of Medicine Lions. I think, i don't know... I feel like i belong in being a warrior of BarrenClan." Leafstar nodded along with Strawberryfur in understanding. Leafstar pulled Strawberryfur to the side. "Strawberryfur, i need to tell you something. Nailyila has power like her father. Like me. She has the power of the air. She can create tornadoes, whirlwinds, almost anything. She fly on air currents. She has much power, that's why her pelt is white, the color with the air and wind." Strawberryfur's eyes widened and Leafstar nodded. "She can't be a Medicine Wolf. The feeling that she is talking about is her powers. She is too young to have her powers brought to the surface. As in, she has her powers, but she is to young for them to be used. As in, even if she tried, nothing would happen." Leafstar said, nodding. "Her destiny is to guard the Pridelands in her father's footsteps." Nailyila noticed that the two were talking and finally spoke up. "What are you all talking about?"

" ermmmmmmm nothing" she emwed. starwberryfur nodded" i undertsand nayliya you ahve to be born to be a medicine wolf" she said.

[Leafstar]

Leafstar smiled at Strawberryfur. "Thanks, Straw." She whispered. "Now, as you see, the Pridelands are becoming more and more dangerous... What can we do? Well, our first task is to find Kova again and Xatar especially. So, Nailyila and Strawberryfur, you two go look for Xatar. I will go and look for Kova. I think he's in deep trouble anyway. He'll need I disagreeistance. He doesn't even know i'm here for StarClan's sake. It will be nice to catch up..." Leafstar licking her paw. "Alright, you two go East, and i'll go West. We will meet at the Pride Rock at sundown. That is, if we can make there..." LEafstar said, gulping.
