Lightclaw padded across the large fallen tree, picking up new scents along the way. She could smell many RiverClan cats' scents lingering here. Some scents were fresh, some were stale. The evening sunlight shined through the trees and made the small rivers of water sparkle. I wonder if i'll meet any RiverClan cats passing through this place while I'm here, lightclaw thought to herself.

Leafstar was hunting silently and alone near Fourtrees. She wasn't in the mood for anything particular. Maybe some chafinch. She passed slowly by the Fallen Tree at the edge of the river. A bright colored pelt caught her eye and a smile stretched across her face. Her eyes brightened. "Lightclaw!" She yelped. She hadn't seen her friend in moons since Lightclaw had left her Clan to become a loner.
