More Than a Noble Warrior

Leafstar sprawled out across the boulders letting the sun hit her pelt. She let out a long sigh in content. Suddenly, she picked up the sound of light footsteps. She pricked her ears and raised her head, noticing her noble warrior, Shadepelt, coming into the clearing.

"Greetings, Leafstar." He said, sitting beside me and letting the sun hitting his thick gray coat.

"Hello, Shadepelt, how are you?" She said, smiling kindly. Shadepelt was one of Leafstar's most noble warriors, she had helped him get through his wretched past, as he had originally joined ShadowClan with a stone heart and no StarClan beliefs... After the moons of getting to know him, he had changed very much.

"I actually wanted to speak with you about something." He said, lunging to a higher boulder, where he overlooked Leafstar.

"Oh? What is it?" Leafstar asked, curiosity pricking her interest.

"Leafstar... You found me when i was broken, and took me into your Clan, making me whole and healing me of me and my siblings pasts. You helped me find myself, and I just need to know how you feel...." He said, taking a pause before opening his mouth to speak once again.

"Leafstar, i want you to stand beside me.... As my mate." He asked, smiling toward her with happiness and hope. Leafstar stared at Shadepelt in awe and happiness. She could not believe a noble warrior such as Shadepelt would ask her of this. One of her most trusted friends deep down had always loved her...

"Shadepelt... I would be honored to be your mate..." She said, nuzzling him happily. "I love you to."

Strawberryfur walked over to the rocks,looking for herbs and she heard Shadepelts words.She smiled as she heard leafstar 'Well well,Shadepelt and Leafstar" she jumped onto the rock.Her bright eyes glowed. Moons had passed since the horrible tradegy had come upon ShadowClan. Leafstar could not feel anything but hurt in her heart.

"I will miss you Shadepelt." She said, kneeling beside where the brave warrior had been buried.

She could remember the night her mate had died and left to be with StarClan. It was the night that ShadowClan had battled the fierce BloodClan.

"You will always be remembered, Shadepelt." She said, grabbing a flower in her jaws and placing it at the foot of his grave. But even as she sat at her past mate's grave, she couldn't help wonder... Could someone ever replace Shadepelt? Would he wish for me to move on?

"No. I can't. I will never have another mate."
